The other day I prepped some Marshmallow people for a Sunday School class and as they were a huge success with the older kids I thought I'd try them out at home with our boys for a bit of 'no bake' cooking.

I made two types of marshmallow people, the first are taken from a blog called Color me Katie and hers are amazing, super artistic and fun.  Mine were considerably less artistic, but hopefully just as fun!  I drew the faces onto the marshmallows with an edible ink pen that I bought in Hobbycraft.

The other type used three marshmallows for each pushed onto a skewer and then decorated.  The ideas for these came from T.Y.L Creations.  I used a little icing and sprinkles for the hair, drew a face with the edible pen and used various sweets etc to decorate.

I showed my examples to the boys then let them create their own.  All three boys did this activity, but Little Dude (19mths) didn't get it, he just took the marshmallows and stuffed them straight in his mouth then got down and played!!  The older two (3 and nearly 5) asked to use the skewers and set about decorating.

Champ mostly drew straight onto the marshmallows.

Whilst Bud drew a face then added an entire strawberry lace for clothes, some sprinkles for hair and...

....... two giant chocolate sticks for legs.  Both boys then really enjoyed eating their art work!

Not one to do everyday as let's face it I just gave them a snack of sugar and topped it off by decorating it with more sugar!  But, fun for a treat every now and then.
