I've enjoyed making the boys Cat in the Hat and Nativity peg dolls so based on the boys requests next up were some Ninja and Monster peg dolls. These were super simple to make and took me an evening in front of the TV. Here's how I made them...
I painted the faces of the Ninjas a fleshy colour so the faces weren't just plain wood. Then I painted the Ninjas with black.
These are the finished Ninjas with eyes, I used a black permanent pen for these.
Then to give something for the Ninjas to fight I created some monsters. I painted two peg dolls green then added eyes and patterns with paint and outlined them with black pen.
Here's how they got played with, a few stones got added.
Then some more bits got added, but these peg dolls were very much enjoyed.

My boys would love these. I'm not sure what the attraction is with ninjas, but boys love them! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, these were part inspired by your ninja pipe cleaners which we want to try out!
DeleteAwesome. My boys love ninjas too. They would enjoy these. Also, a cute wooden peg doll like these would be a great party favor for a ninja party. Or any kind of themed party. Just thinking out loud. :)
