I love the snow, not the slushy stuff that comes later when it all melts, but proper snow. Last week in the UK we had lots of snow, sadly it's all gone now, but I thought you might like to see some of the snow play the boys got up to.
All led by them and hardly any equipment needed just some warm clothes......
1 - Snowballs
Starting with the classics, what's not to love about a good old snowball fight. Here's the stash of snowballs...
...and here's Champ in action. Fortunately the boys are quite young and so their aim is a bit limited I fear next year I might need to watch my back a bit more!
2 - Build a snowman
We didn't get round to making a snowman so here's my nephews with their rather impressive snowman complete with stick arms and a bucket for a hat
3 - Sledding
My personal snow favourite, but unfortunately no pictures this year, partly because I sprained my ankle on my second go - sob.
4 - Snow castles
Your bucket and spade doesn't just have to be for the beach, dig them out and create with snow instead
5 - Bury yourself
Bud spent a long time digging out a hole then burying himself in it, they also buried their Dad - no photos of that either as I was snug indoors by then! I'm also looking forward to some igloo building in future years
6 - Write your name
Practise those writing skills, or draw a picture all you need is a stick
7 - Create a small world
So out came the toys and Champ made a secret hideout for Peter Pan and a ship for Hook, lots of pretend play followed
Not got snow? You could always try our snow free sledding
But, these ideas are nothing compared to the amazing outdoor play that was linked up last time on the Outdoor Play Party. There were so many great ideas I couldn't choose one feature, so I went for four instead...
Meet Tabitha the snow cat from My Little 3 and me
Have some outside number fun with Nature and Play
Follow the snow adventures of Our Free Range Family
Make some beautiful lanterns with Sun Hats and Wellie Boots
Thanks so much for featuring Tabitha the Snowcat. The boys are deighted.

Oh you really did get a lot of snow, we only got a little for 1 morning. I agree with Emma that photo of Bud buried in the snow is priceless. Kierna
